About

The fun
was always
the point.

Seven-year-old me playing Mario for the first time on Christmas morning didn't need to beat the game to feel the joy of playing. The fun was always the point. Before that, it was quarters dropped into Pole Position and a Star Wars cabinet at the local pizzeria, the glow of the screen pulling me in like nothing else could. The 90s brought Cruis'n USA, Retro Galactica, and TMNT, and every machine was a new world waiting three minutes at a time.

Then came the living room. Dragon Warrior cracked something open, the idea that a game could have a world, a story, a reason to care. That thread ran straight through to Fallout 4, Red Dead Redemption 2, BioShock Infinite, and Baldur's Gate 3. Games that didn't just entertain but left something behind. A feeling. A memory. A question you kept thinking about long after the controller was down.

Monocled Moose Studios was born from that curiosity and adventure. Just like switching from quarter arcades to gaming computers, new tools are changing the way we interact with the world around us. Technology has made it possible for someone like me, a lifelong player, a storyteller, a fan first, to build the kinds of experiences that shaped me. That's exactly what we intend to do.
